Job summary

Parsons in Riyadh seeks a Director of Public Realm Operations to lead the lifecycle management of outdoor spaces, parks, and plazas. You will drive standards, oversee irrigation, planting, and water features, and coordinate with facilities and vendors to ensure safety, accessibility, and exceptional visitor experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of progressive public realm, landscape, urban design, or outdoor asset management experience.
• Strong operational experience with large-scale parks, streetscapes, and water features.
• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field; professional registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational management of public parks, promenades, plazas, streetscapes, green corridors, and outdoor entertainment areas.
• Establish performance and maintenance standards for public realm assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Oversee large-scale softscape portfolios including trees, palms, turf, shrubs, and seasonal planting.
• Monitor plant health, irrigation performance, soil conditions, and agronomic quality.
• Develop horticultural maintenance regimes for arid climate and demanding public environments.
• Establish resilient planting strategies balancing aesthetics, water use, and maintenance.
• Direct arboriculture programs covering tree health, pruning, and risk assessment.
• Coordinate seasonal planting and landscape renewal programs.
• Monitor contractors against service levels and quality standards.
