Job summary

Sungrow Smart O&M in Saudi Arabia seeks a protection engineer to design, review, and verify protection settings and logic for BESS infrastructure, including substations, transformers, and inverters.

You will perform calculations, coordination studies, and fault analysis for HV/MV/LV protection systems, and oversee testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of relays from SECO, Siemens, ABB, or Schneider.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and verify protection settings and logic for BESS infrastructure, including substations, transformers, and inverters.
• Perform calculations, coordination studies, and fault analysis for HV, MV, and LV protection systems.
• Oversee testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of protection relays (e.g., SECO, Siemens, ABB, or Schneider).
• Troubleshoot protection system issues, investigate trippings, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with GCC standards, SEC regulations, and project safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with site operations, sub-contractors, and grid authorities during integration.

Oversee testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of protection relays (e.g., SECO, Siemens, ABB, or Schneider).

Troubleshoot complex protection system issues, investigate trippings, and implement corrective actions.

Ensure all engineering activities strictly comply with GCC standards, SEC regulations, and project safety guidelines.

Coordinate effectively with site operations, sub-contractors, and grid authorities during the integration phase.
