Zusammenfassung

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering seeks a senior engineer to lead protection relay testing and commissioning for utility-scale solar/substation projects in Medina. You will supervise relay testing, review coordination studies, and ensure IEC/IEEE compliance.

You will coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities, and client reps, manage schedules and resources, and provide mentorship to relay testing teams while ensuring safe, quality handover.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in protection relay testing and commissioning per IEC/IEEE standards.
• Strong knowledge of protection coordination and relay setting calculations.
• Familiarity with SCADA/Substation Automation integration.

• Supervise testing of protection relays and associated schemes (overcurrent, earth fault, differential, distance, busbar).

• Prepare relay test reports, commissioning records, and handover documentation.

• Lead and manage protection relay testing and commissioning activities for utility-scale solar PV plants substations switchyards and grid interconnection facilities
• Supervise testing of protection relays including overcurrent earth fault differential distance transformer busbar and line protection schemes
• Review protection coordination studies relay setting calculations protection schematics single-line diagrams and control wiring drawings
• Perform and oversee secondary injection primary injection functional testing trip circuit checks and end-to-end protection testing
• Ensure proper integration and testing of protection relays with SCADA RTU and substation automation systems
• Coordinate with EPC contractors consultants OEMs utilities and client representatives during testing and commissioning
• Manage testing schedules manpower allocation equipment availability and site execution activities
• Ensure compliance with IEC IEEE utility requirements project specifications and approved testing procedures
• Troubleshoot protection relay malfunctions wiring issues communication failures and protection scheme abnormalities
• Prepare and review relay test reports commissioning records punch lists and handover documentation
• Ensure calibration and proper use of relay testing equipment such as OMICRON and Megger test kits
• Implement site safety procedures permit-to-work requirements and quality control measures during testing activities
• Provide technical guidance and training to relay testing engineers and technicians
• Support grid synchronization energization performance testing and final project handover
