Parsons is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver small to medium-sized projects on schedule and within budget, meeting contractual, quality, and safety requirements.

You will develop plans, manage scope, risks, and teams, and maintain strong client relationships while pursuing opportunities for additional work and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical or business field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related project management experience.
  • Broad technical and business background with experience managing complex projects.
  • Ability to meet Parsons’ project management certification requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, scope, contracts, and profitability.
  • Effective leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices, standards, regulations, and project controls.
  • Knowledge of current project management technologies and their effective application.
  • Experience managing client relationships, subcontractors, subconsultants, and government agencies.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve project risks, cost issues, schedule delays, and scope changes.
  • Professional registration may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, supervise, and control all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative aspects of assigned projects.
  • Develop project goals, execution strategies, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and management plans.
  • Manage project scope, cost, schedule, profitability, quality, and contractual obligations.
  • Forecast monthly revenue, labor costs, other direct costs, and gross profit throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee project invoicing, billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable activities.
  • Establish and maintain the Project Management Plan, Health and Safety Plan, QA/QC Plan, and other required project documentation.
  • Monitor deliverables to ensure compliance with client requirements, contract terms, and quality standards.
  • Assign responsibilities to project team members based on qualifications and strengths.
  • Monitor, negotiate, and manage changes to the project scope with clients, subcontractors, and subconsultants.
  • Maintain accurate and timely change orders and advise management and clients of significant project changes.
  • Develop corrective action plans to address potential cost overruns, schedule delays, and scope changes.
  • Monitor project progress, milestones, costs, schedules, risks, and conditions affecting performance.
  • Serve as the Company representative with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead weekly project status meetings, track actions, and communicate updates.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional work and business development.
  • Participate in proposals, client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
  • Support employee performance management, recognition, career development, staffing, and training activities.
  • Collaborate with managers, project engineers, discipline leads, and facilities staff to support execution.
  • Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented PROJECT MANAGER to join our team! In this role you will get to lead and manage small to medium-sized projects, ensuring successful delivery on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, quality, and safety requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Experience developing and implementing project management, safety, quality, and execution plans.
  • Proven ability to secure additional work and support business development initiatives.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and participating in public meetings.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience developing career plans, coordinating training, and managing employee performance.
  • Active participation in professional organizations, conferences, technical presentations, and industry networking events.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, senior leadership, clients, and external stakeholders.
