Responsible for managing and coordinating the production schedules, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently and meet deadlines. This role is crucial in balancing production capacity with demand, minimizing delays, and optimizing resource utilization to meet the company's production goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and manage production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and available resources to ensure timely product delivery.
- Track the progress of production, ensure that timelines are met, and resolve any issues that might delay production or affect quality.
- Analyze customer orders and historical production data to forecast future demand, adjusting production schedules accordingly.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production process and recommend solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Provide regular reports on production progress, inventory status, resource utilization, and any potential delays to senior management.
- Address production challenges such as machine breakdowns, material shortages, or labor shortages, ensuring minimal disruption to the production process.
- Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts, working closely with inventory control and warehouse teams.
- Work closely with various departments (such as logistics, quality control, and engineering) to ensure smooth production workflows and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with departments such as purchasing, procurement, and inventory management to ensure that the necessary raw materials, tools, and equipment are available for production.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in production planning or operations management, preferably in a manufacturing.
- Proficiency in production planning software ERP systems, Microsoft Office. o Ability to spot discrepancies in production schedules, inventory, and workflows. o Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of continuous improvement processes like Kaizen or Six Sigma.

- Strong analytical skills to identify production issues and find solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
Language
