Role Description – Production Manager

Location: Sudair City for Industry and Businesses

Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site

The Production Manager will lead all production operations at ALSAD’s facility, covering multiple lines for preforms & closures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities, ensuring output meets quality standards, operational KPIs, and customer delivery deadlines. This role is pivotal in aligning operations with sales forecasts, raw material flow, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise day-to-day production operations across injection molding, compression molding, extrusion, and printing machines.
  • Prepare and execute production schedules in alignment with sales forecasts and inventory levels, in coordination with Sales and Supply Chain departments.
  • Monitor and manage raw material inventory, ensuring optimal usage and stock levels (PET resin, HDPE, films, masterbatches).
  • Oversee all SAP production activities: creation of production orders, confirmations, material consumption, and performance reporting.
  • Track and improve production KPIs, including OEE, output per shift, waste levels, cycle time, and downtime.
  • Ensure all hygiene and GMP standards are implemented and adhered to throughout the factory.
  • Manage and coach operators, shift supervisors, and labor teams, fostering a high-performance environment.
  • Conduct staff training programs and skill enhancement initiatives for production workforce.
  • Analyze production reports (efficiency, downtime, shift logs) and initiate corrective actions when needed.
  • Work closely with Maintenance for preventive and corrective interventions to minimize breakdowns.
  • Ensure product quality standards are met in full cooperation with the Quality Department, including root cause analysis and resolution of non-conformities.
  • Support the commissioning of new molds, equipment, and production lines as part of the factory’s growth and innovation roadmap.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in plastic manufacturing, ideally in preform & cap production.
  • Strong technical expertise in:
  • Compression molding,
  • Proven leadership in managing high-speed, multi-line production environments.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and team development skills.
  • Solid understanding of ISO 9001, HACCP, or FSSC 22000 quality frameworks.
  • Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP Business One, for production and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is a must.
