MECS seeks a Process Engineer for Process Plants – Acrylates, Syn Gas. This permanent, full-time role demands advanced process engineering expertise in Acrylates and Syn Gas projects.
The candidate will monitor plant parameters, lead design studies, size hydraulics, monitor kinetics and catalysts, and support budgets while collaborating with internal and external teams.
Monitors day to day plant process parameters of Acrylates process, Syn Gas process, Butanol process, expert in Acrylic Acid Process or similar plants.
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
10 years minimum year of experience
Handles the process engineering issues concerning plant change development, plant redesign, scouting and feasibility studies, new bases of designs, plant operation optimization, and operational support.
Provides input for preparation of Department Capital and Operating budgets and monitors annual expenditure budgets.
Supports/leads technical studies/surveys with teams within internal and external teams for the Process Engineering and other related issues.
Operation and utility issue troubleshooting.
Ensures efficient performance of equipment and process operation.
Advises on procedures for reducing material and energy losses.
Prepares required management of change with regards to international process engineering standards and best technical practices.
Establishes priorities of process efficiency research and development such as oxidation, cracking, hydrogenation & separation, new process technologies, improved process operations and energy systems.
Hydraulics calculation and equipment sizing.
HAZOP, PHA knowledge and experience.
Reaction kinetics and catalysts performance monitoring.
