Alstom in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia seeks an Electrical Engineer with a focus on HV/MV/LV for traction projects. You will assist the POS Engineering Manager in delivering basic and detailed electrical engineering activities across HV, MV, traction, and LV systems, coordinating with engineering teams, field operations, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within railway projects and a graduate engineering degree in electrical science.

Formación

• Education: Graduate from Engineering school in electrical science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering (railway transportation).
• Good knowledge of electrical installation (high voltage, medium voltage and low voltage).
• Autonomy, motivated, initiative, and interested in technical topics.
• Languages: Fluent English; Arabic or French desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Perform HV/MV/traction/low voltage basic engineering activities for projects.
• Provide electrical architectures, specifications, and interface specs.
• Provide calculation notes and ensure supplier equipment validation.
• Follow-up and validate technical drawings from suppliers.
• Provide factory test procedures and participate in factory acceptance tests.
• Coordinate with POS design leader and other subsystems (systems, civil, SCADA, etc.).
• Support Field Operations with design issues.
• Contribute to as-built documentation and REX for the project.
• Contribute to REX (Return of Experience) activities.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Assist the POS PrEM (Project Engineering Manager) in his role of performing the POS engineering activities of a traction project for the following disciplines : high voltage, medium voltage, traction voltage, low voltage.

POS Field Operations team (Installation, Test & Commissioning)

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Key accountabilities

Perform the high voltage / medium voltage / traction / low voltage basic engineering activities of a project or program:

Provide electrical architectures, technical specifications, functional specifications and interface specifications,

Provide calculation notes,

Ensure the technical validation of the supplier’s equipment offers,

Perform the high voltage / medium voltage / traction / low voltage detailed engineering activities of a project or program:

Follow-up and validation of the technical drawings from the equipment supplier,

Provide the factory test procedures of the equipment,

Participate at the factory acceptance tests of the equipment.

Assist the POS design Leader for coordination / interfaces with:

The POS engineering team (including automation and installation teams),

The others sub-systems of the project, particularly: Systems, civil works, SCADA, catenary, return current, EMC, earthing & bonding, etc...

The customer,

The project management team,

The suppliers, the subcontractors, and the partners.

Provide technical support to Field Operations (Installation and Test and Commissioning) teams with regards to design issues.

Participate (if requested) to the As-built documentation drawings modifications.

Participate to the REX (Return of Experience) of the project/program.

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Education : Graduate from Engineering school in electrical science

Experience : A minimum of 05 years of experience in electrical engineering ( railway transportation)

Good knowledge of electrical installation (high voltage, medium voltage and low voltage)

Skills : Autonomy, motivated, initiative, and interested in technical topics

• Language : Fluent English, Arabic/French is desirable.
