An excellent opportunity to join as a Consultant in Plastic Surgery, specialized in Burns at one of the most prestigious and top-tier leading hospitals in TaifSaudi Arabia.

JOB SUMMARY

The Consultant in Plastic Surgery (Burns) will provide expert medical and surgical care for patients with acute and chronic burn injuries, as well as reconstructive procedures to restore function and appearance. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, supervising junior medical staff, contributing to academic teaching, and participating in research and hospital committees.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides high-quality burn and reconstructive plastic surgery care to patients.
  • Offers consultative services to other departments as requested.
  • Supervises fellows, assistant physicians, and residents in the department.
  • Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in burn care and reconstructive surgery.
  • Engages in clinical research and contributes to publications and academic development.
  • Participates in hospital committees and administrative functions as required.
  • Performs specialized burn-related procedures and reconstructive surgeries within the scope of privileges.
  • Adheres to all hospital-related policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the department head.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Graduate from a medical school of recognized standing.
  • Completion of required training in Plastic Surgery and subspecialty training in Burns/Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Saudi, American, or European Board Certification (or equivalent).
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in recognized surgical societies in America and/or Europe (or equivalent).
  • Certificate recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) is mandatory.
  • Dataflow verification is required.
Professional Experience
  • Minimum of 3–4 years post Board/Fellowship experience in plastic surgery with a focus on burns.
  • Registered member of the Saudi Board Council.
Language
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Additional proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
