Job summary

Saudi Gold Refinery seeks a Plant Maintenance Engineer in Riyadh to ensure mechanical and electrical reliability of gold refining assets. You will implement preventive maintenance for critical equipment and lead corrective actions to minimize downtime while upholding LBMA and SASO standards.

The role requires a proactive asset-management approach, contractor supervision, and strict adherence to PTW/LOTO in a 24/7 industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mining, or Industrial Engineering.
• Five+ years of relevant maintenance engineering experience in mining.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, and high-voltage electrical infrastructure.
• Proficient CMMS usage for planning and tracking work orders.
• Knowledge of PTW and LOTO safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, P&IDs, and manuals.
• Excellent English for technical communication; Arabic preferred.
• Valid Saudi driving license and willingness to work on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for critical machinery.
• Lead corrective maintenance to restore operations quickly and permanently.
• Enforce PTW and LOTO procedures for hazardous maintenance work.
• Supervise external contractors and ensure safety and technical standards.
• Apply reliability-centered maintenance to extend asset life.
• Manage spare parts inventory to balance readiness and cost.
• Maintain records for audits and regulatory inspections (SASO, LBMA).
• Update technical drawings and maintenance logs in the document system.
• Investigate incidents and track corrective actions to improve safety culture.
• Monitor maintenance expenditures against budget and identify cost-saving actions.
