Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Paymaster / General Cashier to join the Finance team at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard. You will oversee payroll processing and hotel cash operations to ensure accurate records.

This role requires daily cash reconciliations, compliance with IHG standards and local regulations, and collaboration with other departments to support month-end closes and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Payroll, General Cashiering, or Hotel Finance.
• Knowledge of payroll processes, cash handling procedures, and financial controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with hotel PMS or payroll systems preferred.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with high accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information and meet reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and ensure timely salary payments per policy.
• Maintain employee payroll records and support reconciliations.
• Receive, count, verify, and reconcile daily cash from hotel outlets.
• Prepare daily General Cashier reports and bank deposit slips.
• Safeguard petty cash, cashier floats, and other hotel cash funds.
• Reconcile cash, card settlements, and bank deposits; investigate discrepancies.
• Process petty cash reimbursements and maintain supporting docs.
• Ensure all cash transactions are documented and authorized.
• Coordinate with Finance and operations to ensure proper cash handling.
• Support month-end closing, cash reconciliations, and audits.
• Ensure compliance with IHG policies and local regulations.
• Perform other finance duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and ensure timely salary payments in accordance with company policies.


• Maintain employee payroll records and support payroll reconciliations.


• Receive, count, verify, and reconcile daily cash collections from all hotel outlets.


• Prepare daily General Cashier reports and bank deposit slips.


• Safeguard petty cash, cashier floats, and other hotel cash funds.


• Reconcile cash, credit card settlements, and bank deposits, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.


• Process petty cash reimbursements and maintain supporting documentation.


• Maintain accurate cash records and ensure all transactions are properly documented and authorized.


• Coordinate with Finance and operational departments to ensure accurate cash handling procedures.


• Support month-end closing activities, cash reconciliations, and audit requirements.


• Ensure compliance with IHG financial policies, internal controls, and local statutory requirements.


• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance & Business Support.
