As an OT (Operational Technology) Cybersecurity Technical Solution Architect Specialist at Siemens Energy, you will be at the forefront of protecting mission‑critical systems and critical national infrastructure. Your day will involve engaging with customers to understand and shape their cybersecurity requirements, developing high‑quality solutions for complex projects, and ensuring successful implementation within tight timelines. You will adapt Siemens Energy’s cybersecurity portfolio to meet regulatory and compliance needs while staying ahead of competitors.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the execution of operational technology (OT) cybersecurity workshops, risk assessments, and remediation engagements for customers, conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments and gap analyses.
- Perform audits in compliance with industry standards such as NERC, CIP and IEC 62443, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Design and implement vendor‑agnostic cybersecurity solutions for industrial control systems, successfully executing onsite implementation and engineering of these solutions.
- Provide in‑depth technical analysis and guidance on industrial control systems security trends, collaborating with sales teams to develop and deliver OT cybersecurity proposals and scope of work documents aligned with customer needs.
- Conduct thorough security reviews and assessments of customers’ operational technology landscapes, advising on enhancements and developing strategies, roadmaps, and new operating models to help customers achieve their security goals.
- Work with global cybersecurity teams to create contextualized product and service offerings aimed at reducing cybersecurity risk in OT environments, while supporting the regional cybersecurity team in defining strategies that align with group‑level objectives and developing initiatives to drive business growth.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Instrumentation & Control (I&C), or related fields, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant technical or consulting environment, including at least 5 years focused on supporting PLC, DCS, SIS, or SCADA systems.
- Skilled in supporting and troubleshooting industrial protocols such as OPC, Modbus TCP, HART, and Foundation Fieldbus, with demonstrated experience in ICS systems and security industry practices.
- Experienced in the sales, development, or operation of IT or OT Managed Security Services, with familiarity in critical infrastructure and regulatory requirements in the energy sector.
- Proficient in cybersecurity technologies, tools, and techniques, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti‑virus software, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of standards such as IEC 62443/ISA 99, NIST SP 800‑82, CPNI Good Practice, NERC CIP, TSA SD02C, and NIS2, with preferred certifications including GICSP, CISSP, ISA99, CCSA, CCSE, CRISC, CCSP, and EC‑Council Ethical Hacker.
- Experience in deploying or supporting security practices and technologies, such as risk or vulnerability assessments and SIEM tools, in industrial environments like energy companies or large manufacturing organizations, with a willingness to travel up to 75% as needed.
