Job summary

Stax Logistics is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee all daily operations at our container terminal in Jeddah. The role focuses on yard operations, container handling, storage, and equipment utilization to ensure efficient and safe terminal performance.

You will manage workforce planning, optimize container movements, and maintain high service levels for customers. A strong background in terminal operations and leadership is required for success in this on-site

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of direct container terminal or depot experience.
• Hands-on experience managing container yard and depot operations.
• Strong knowledge of stacking, yard planning, gate-in/gate-out, and container movements.
• Experience with reach stackers and other terminal equipment.
• Experience supervising operational teams and daily terminal activities.
• Familiarity with Yard Management Systems or Terminal Operating Systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.

Company Description

Stax Logistics is a Saudi-based container terminal and logistics company specializing in container storage and handling, empty and laden container operations, reefer services, and related terminal services.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee all daily operations at our container terminal in Jeddah.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing yard operations, container handling and storage, equipment utilization, workforce management, operational efficiency, safety, and customer service.

The role requires strong technical and operational knowledge of container terminal and depot activities, with the ability to manage and optimize all aspects of terminal operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in container terminals, container depots, or Empty Container Depots (ECDs) is mandatory.
• Proven hands-on experience managing container yard and depot operations.
• Strong knowledge of container stacking, yard planning, gate-in/gate-out, and container movements.
• Experience managing reach stackers, empty container handlers, and other terminal equipment.
• Experience supervising operational teams and managing daily terminal activities.
• Familiarity with Yard Management Systems (YMS) or Terminal Operating Systems (TOS).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and operational management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
