Job summary

GE Vernova in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, seeks an Operations Leader to oversee daily repair production line operations, ensuring reliability, safety, and a learning-focused environment. You will supervise hourly operators, drive planning and execution, and influence fulfillment-5 metrics in collaboration with the Cell Leader.

The role requires leadership of 35-45 blue-collar staff, strong project management, and a focus on Safety, Quality, and Lean practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing repair or related field with 2 years in a people leader role.
• Proficiency with computer tools (MS Office).
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Demonstrated Safety and Quality focus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Legal right to work in KSA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead 35-45 blue-collar employees.
• Operationalize and sustain Fulfillment-5 metrics across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity and People.
• Drive a zero-exception culture with Safety; ensure compliance to regulatory actions by engaging shop floor operators daily.
• Support the Quality team and ensure adherence to QMS procedures.
• Coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Quality, HR to resolve shop floor issues promptly.
• Drive On-Time-Delivery for the Cell by meeting repair jobs plans.
• Own job cost reviews across the life-cycle of each repair.
• Own utilization, capacity planning and manpower planning for the cell.
• Champion productivity initiatives and cost-reduction projects in the cell.
• Lead Product Lines in the Cell with 5S and lean excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Candidate is responsible of leading 35-45 blue collar employees.


• Operationalizing and sustaining Fulfillment-5 metrics execution on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity and People.


• Driving a ‘zero exception’ culture with Safety; sustaining Operations compliance to Regulatory & Non- Regulatory actions by engaging the shop floor operators on daily basis.


• Helping the Quality team and ensuring compliance to QMS procedures.


• Leading tactical operations rhythm and working inclusively with Safety, Engineering, Quality, and HR to resolve shop floor issues promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor 's degree in Engineering,


• Minimum 4 years of experience in related job/Manufacturing repair business with 2 years of experience in people leader role.


• Proficiency with computer tools (MS Office)


• Demonstrated project management experience.


• Demonstrated Safety and Quality focus.


• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience with Lean deployment.


• Good working knowledge of manufacture/repair processes associated with gas turbine components,


• Experience in a leadership role within a power generation or repair business.


• Proficiency in dealing with SAP.

• Good understanding of workshop practices/processes.
