Duties and Responsibilities
  1. 1.Diligently completes assigned responsibilities, while functioning within established hospital, division and EMS guidelines, standards and directives, under the immediate supervision of the EMS Station Supervisor.
  2. 2.Accountable for providing high quality patient care, both pre-hospital and in-hospital, based on a competent understanding of the patient / customer needs, within direction of medical oversight i.e. EMS head division and well- established policies, procedures and protocols.
  3. 3.Provides attentive patient care in a thorough, efficient and cost-effective manner
  4. 4.Maintains an awareness of the patient's physical, medical, and cultural needs at all times.
  5. 5.Maintains a working knowledge of current trends in EMS and new developments in the healthcare field.
  6. 6.Anticipates potential problems and responds to them appropriately.
  7. 7.Accountable for operating and maintaining EMS vehicles and equipment properly, to avoid damage or breakage.
  8. 9.Eagerly exercises detailed attention to duty, while efficiently completing obligatory requirements.
  9. 10.Ensures EMS vehicles, equipment and supplies are in a constant state of readiness.
  10. 11.Consistently adheres to and implements EMS administrative and Medical Control directives.
  11. 12.Willingly completes administrative and clinical functions as assigned by the EMS Station Supervisor.
  12. 13.Actively participates in EMS staff meetings.
  13. 14.Performs other duties as assigned by the EMS division Head which are within the post-holder’s qualifications and capabilities
  14. 15.Consistently attends skills maintenance programs to ensure professional proficiency.
  15. 16.Maintains professional licensure and required certifications.
  16. 17.Participates in the development and presentation of educational awareness programs.
  17. 18.Attempts to improve communications in English / Arabic.
  18. 19.Assists in the orientation and professional development of other EMS personnel.
  19. 20.Attends professional development courses and participates in professional research programs.
  20. 21.Attend all educational activities, in the EMS department.
  21. 22.Participate in all educational activities by presentation, and participation.
  22. 23.Provides continuous feedback to improve working environment and patient care.

  24. 25.Utilizes medical supplies properly, to avoid wastage.
  25. 26.Assists in situational problem solving and in the utilization of limited resources and supplies.

  27. 28.Works in harmonious partnership with members of the EMS team and other health care professionals.

  33. 34.Making Sure of Documentation Completion.
  34. 35.Overseeing Ambulances Inventory needs, and Orders What’s Needed.
  35. 36.Monitor compliance to policies and procedures and ensure corrective measures are Applied if policies and procedures are violated.
  36. 37.Monitor Ambulance teams and relocate upon Operational needs.
  37. 38.Authorized to issue a Warning Letter against Unobligated Staff.
  38. 39.Validate Payment Process.
  39. 40.Receive Ambulance Transfers Calls, and Dispatch, Command Ambulance Teams.
  40. 41.Solve Transfers Issues During Shift.
  41. 42.Participates in Departmental data quality, analysis, and KPIs.
  42. 43.Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients, as “the patient is the center of our care”.
Job Functions
