Job summary

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Jeddah is hiring an Oncology Staff Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care for adult oncology and hematology patients. The role involves assessments, patient education, and coordination of treatment plans in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualified candidates possess a BSN, KHSC registration, and at least two years of acute-care oncology experience, preferably from North America, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Must meet Saudi Commission for Health Specialties classification and registration requirements for Nurse Specialist.
• Minimum two years of current, full-time clinical experience following completion of the nursing qualification.
• Current experience in an acute-care hospital and oncology (adult or pediatric).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult oncology and hematology patients.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, including vital signs, pain, nutrition, and psychosocial needs.
• Monitor laboratory results and treatment progress; support in administration of medications and therapies.
• Administer chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and other cancer treatments when trained.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about cancer diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up appointments.
