Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Nursing degree completed through classroom-based study; online or distance-learning nursing degrees are not accepted.
• Must meet Saudi Commission for Health Specialties classification and registration requirements for Nurse Specialist.
• Minimum two years of current, full-time clinical experience following completion of the nursing qualification.
• Current experience must be in an acute-care hospital and in Cardiac Surgical ICU; experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients following cardiac and cardiothoracic surgery.
• Receive and stabilize patients directly from the operating room or post-anesthesia care area.
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic parameters and recognize changes in the patient’s clinical condition.
• Administer medications, blood products, fluids, and vasoactive and other high-risk medications according to hospital policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in rounds and care planning.
