Job summary

Acwa China seeks a Plant Manager to lead a CCGT power plant in Saudi Arabia, directing operations and maintenance to meet production targets while ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency. You will manage budgets, optimize resources, and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with stakeholders.

The role requires extensive experience in power generation, strong leadership, and a proven track record in managing complex plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in managing a production plant.
• Operational and management experience in power generation and/or water desalination plants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the plant strategy and operational plans in alignment with the company’s O&M strategy; monitor plant performance and provide reporting to senior management and the Board.
• Lead operations and maintenance, production planning, plant availability, operating efficiency, and resolution of issues to achieve production targets.
• Manage the plant operating budget and financial performance, including cost control, productivity, resource optimization, profitability, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Lead workforce planning and people management, including recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.
• Provide technical and operational direction on plant performance, root cause analysis, investigations, and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Oversee supply chain and contractor activities, including inventory, requisitions, materials, services, equipment, and contractor performance in accordance with HSSE requirements.
• Ensure SAP processes, IMS objectives and HSE requirements are implemented and complied with across the plant.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Project Company, Board, shareholders, OEMs, contractors, vendors, authorities, auditors, and stakeholders.
