Job summary

Datamatics-Global-Services-Ltd in Saudi Arabia is seeking a hands-on Data Platform Engineer to install, configure, and support data platform components in on-premises environments.

The role requires VMware-based infrastructure, Git integration, IAM/PAM security, and collaboration across Development, QA, and Production teams. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. This 3-5 month engagement is on-site or hybrid depending on project requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on Data Platform Engineering experience.
• Experience installing/configuring data platform components on-premises.
• Platform Administration expertise.
• VMware-based infrastructure experience.
• Git-based deployment/configuration integration.
• IAM and PAM security integrations in enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure, networking, storage, and security.
• Exposure to Docker and/or Kubernetes for containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain data platform components on-premises.
• Administer Data Platform, monitor, maintain, and support operations.
• Deploy and support components on VMware infrastructure.
• Integrate deployments with Git version control.
• Integrate with IAM and PAM security solutions.
• Support deployments across Development, QA, and Production.
• Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability.
• Troubleshoot platform, infra, deployment, and network issues.
• Support Docker and/or Kubernetes containerized components.
• Collaborate with Data Eng, Infra, DevOps, Security, Network, and Apps teams.
