Role Summary

• The OCI Architect & Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and governance of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for an Oracle E Business Suite (EBS) migration to Oracle Cloud-based architecture.
• The role combines hands on OCI architecture design with technical leadership, ensuring platform stability, security, performance, and compliance across implementation and post go live phases.

Key Responsibilities

OCI Architecture & Design

• Define the target OCI architecture for Oracle EBS migration, including:
  • Compute, storage, networking, security, and high availability
  • Multi-tier application architecture (App Tier, DB Tier, load balancing)
  • Design OCI landing zones aligned with enterprise standards and Oracle best practices.
• Define architecture for:
  • OCI regions, compartments, VCNs, subnets
  • DR and backup strategies (OCI Object Storage, Autonomous Recovery management where applicable)
• Ensure designs meet performance, scalability, resilience, and regulatory compliance requirements.

OCI Implementation & Migration Leadership

• Lead deployment and configuration of OCI services including:
  • Compute instances, block/object storage
  • VCNs, DRGs, Load Balancers, Bastion, VPN / Fast Connect
• Support EBS application migration to OCI, including:
  • Lift and shift or re platforming strategies
  • Database migration planning and execution
  • Ensure environment readiness across DEV, TEST, UAT, and PROD.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Proven experience in Oracle EBS on OCI or large-scale Oracle workloads on OCI
• Deep expertise in:
  • OCI Networking (VCN, DRG, LB, VPN/Fast Connect)
  • OCI Compute, Storage, IAM, Security services
  • Experience designing high availability and DR architectures
• Infrastructure automation using Terraform/OCI Resource Manager

Desired Skills

• Experience in large enterprise ERP migration programs
• Knowledge of Oracle Database, RMAN backup, and database performance concepts
• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements
• Experience supporting Hypercare and BAU operations
• Oracle OCI certifications preferred (Architect Associate/Professional)
