Overview

One of our clients is in the Health Care industry in Allkhobar, Saudi Arabia, and is hiring for the position of RN Nurse.

Location: Alkhobar

Years of Experience: 2 - 3 Years

Educational Qualification: an associate degree (ASN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Saudi Council Registration

Compensation: Competitive salary including other benefits

Notice Period: Immediate joiners or maximum one-month notice period.

Job Summary

Provide outpatient nursing services in the Medical Center following established standards and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complete new hire mandatory orientation program within 30 days of hire.
  • Complete the Departmental competency-based orientation within 90 days of hire.
  • Consult with and keep Nursing Director informed of activities, needs and problems.
  • Take charge nurse responsibilities as assigned by Nursing Director and/or in absence of Nursing Director.
  • Comply with established nursing standards.
  • Implement and maintain established department unit, Medical Center programs, policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention and control.
  • Interpret these to patients, medical staff and public as appropriate.
  • Follow established routines and utilize supplies and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, safe environment for patient and personnel.
  • Ensure documentation of weekly checklist of expiry date of clinics supplies.
  • Ensure instruments sterility prior use to each patient; proper sending of instruments for sterilization to CSSD in accordance to the center infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
  • Assist in care and maintenance of department supplies, equipment and facilities. Report defective supplies, malfunctioning equipment to Nursing Director. Request maintenance and repair. Document maintenance.
  • Learn the principles of quality improvement.
  • Report any potential quality issues to Nursing Director or nursing director, or directly to the continuous quality Improvement Department.
  • Serve on performance improvement teams when requested and assisting in carrying out the functions of the team.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary risk management program by reporting occurrences and incidents as they take place.
  • Perform tasks such as the following:
  • Check patient medical record to see that all consents and other required forms are attached.
  • Outpatient Nursing Assessment and Re-assessment
  • Work with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff.
  • Identify potential risks, problems and take appropriate remedial action.
  • Act as a contact point for patients who have attended the clinic, providing information and health promotion advice
  • Support the patient and assist the physician with any procedures necessary for the examination, investigations and treatment of patients.
  • Assist patient in the referral process.
  • Provide health education to the patients and their family.
  • Work towards coordinating the activities of the department on a day to day basis in rotation with other team members.
  • Contribute towards an efficient, therapeutic and safe environment in the clinic.
  • Record patient\'s attendance in the clinic.
  • Perform specific nursing procedures per assigned clinic.
  • Ensure that preventive maintenance on all instrument and equipment are done and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) sticker is attached and valid.
  • Demonstrate competency in using or assisting with clinic equipment.
  • Maintain required clinics records, patient charts, forms, logs, register, censuses, prepare required reports; collect required statistics.
  • Follow guidelines for nursing documentation.
  • Clinic supplies requisition.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Promote Communication
  • Effectively communicate and maintain harmonious interpersonal relationships with health care team and peers.
  • Identify and report communication problems of patient, family and staff.
  • Report pertinent information regarding patient care needs to appropriate team members and document on patient record.
  • Maintain patients rights and confidentiality of patient information, and abide by established communications code.
