Job summary

SIAD Holding seeks a Network Specialist to design, operate, secure and maintain the group’s network infrastructure across head office, subsidiaries and hotel properties. You will manage LAN/WAN, wireless, internet links, firewalls, VPNs and voice systems, ensuring reliable connectivity and security.

The role requires 3–5 years in network administration, CCNA, and experience with Fortinet and Avaya; hospitality experience is a plus. Work location is Jeddah with group-wide responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• CCNA certification required; Fortinet NSE 4 and Avaya certifics preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in multi-site network administration, hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Cisco switches/routers and wireless across sites.
• Manage WAN and internet links; coordinate with ISPs on provisioning and SLAs.
• Maintain IP addressing, VLANs, routing, QoS and wireless standards.
• Plan network changes, upgrades and capacity expansions with minimal disruption.
• Administer Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, policies, NAT, IPS and SD-WAN.
• Configure site-to-site and remote VPN connectivity for staff and partners.
• Enforce security standards; review firewall rules and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Support Avaya IP telephony systems and voice QoS.
• Implement and monitor network monitoring tools; respond to alerts.
• Document topology, inventory and runbooks; support procurement and renewals.
• Contribute to network scope of group projects (new properties, cloud, DR).

About the Role

Job Title Network Specialist

Role Purpose To design, operate, secure and maintain SIAD Holdings group-wide network infrastructure - LAN/WAN, wireless, internet connectivity, firewalls, VPN, voice and monitoring - across the head office, subsidiaries and hotel properties, ensuring reliable, secure and continuously monitored connectivity for all group operations.

Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure & Connectivity

• Install, configure and maintain Cisco switches, routers and wireless infrastructure across the group’s head office, subsidiaries and hotel properties.
• Manage WAN and internet links, ISP circuits and site-to-site connectivity between group locations; coordinate with ISPs on provisioning, faults and SLAs.
• Maintain IP addressing, VLAN segmentation, routing, QoS and wireless standards consistently across all sites.
• Plan and execute network changes, upgrades and capacity expansions with minimal disruption to business operations.

Firewall, VPN & Network Security

• Administer Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls including security policies, NAT, web filtering, IPS, SD-WAN and high availability.
• Configure and support site-to-site and remote-access (SSL / IPsec) VPN connectivity for employees, partners and inter-site links.
• Enforce network security standards (segmentation, guest and IoT isolation, secure wireless, access control), review firewall rules periodically and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
• Support incident response for network security events in coordination with the IT team, vendors and service partners.

Voice & Unified Communications

• Support Avaya IP telephony systems, handsets, SIP trunks and call routing (extensions, hunt groups, voicemail) across the group.
• Ensure QoS and network readiness for voice and contact-centre traffic in coordination with the call-centre team and telecom providers.

Monitoring & Operations

• Implement and maintain network monitoring and alerting (availability, performance, bandwidth, logs) and respond proactively to alerts.
• Perform configuration backups, firmware / OS upgrades, patching and lifecycle management for all network, firewall and voice devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network issues from Technical Support, and elevate to vendors and partners (Cisco, Fortinet, Avaya) when required.
• Maintain network documentation (diagrams, inventory, configurations, standards, runbooks) and record all incidents and changes in the ticketing system.
• Support the procurement of network hardware, licenses, support contracts and services, and follow up on renewals.
• Contribute to the network scope of group projects such as new property openings, office relocations, cloud connectivity and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

Knowledge

• LAN/WAN, routing and switching (Cisco), firewalls and VPN (Fortinet), wireless networking, IP telephony (Avaya), network security, monitoring tools, ITIL framework, troubleshooting.

Education and certification requirements

• Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Engineering or Networking related field.
• Cisco CCNA required; Fortinet NSE 4 and Avaya certification preferred.

Experience required

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in network administration in a multi-site environment, preferably hospitality.
