Network & Information Security Senior Specialist

Job Summary:

The Network & Information Security Senior Specialist is responsible for protecting the organization’s information systems, networks, and data from security threats. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets by implementing security controls, monitoring network activity, managing incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network and information security controls and architectures.
• Monitor network traffic and security systems to detect and respond to security incidents and threats.
• Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, and risk assessments.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, frameworks, and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NCA, NIST).
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security requirements into systems and projects.
• Maintain security documentation, incident reports, and risk registers.
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in network and information security or a related IT security role.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching).
• Hands‑on experience with security tools such as firewalls, SIEM, antivirus/EDR, and vulnerability scanners.

Preferred Certifications:

• CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or equivalent certifications.
• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor (preferred).
