Job summary

Dammam Airports Company in Dammam (Saudi Arabia) seeks a Project Manager for airside modification and minor projects. You will lead planning, oversee execution, ensure safety, and manage budgets and schedules. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 3–4 years in project management (airport project experience preferred), and PMP is a plus.

Execute small-scale maintenance and modification projects within the airside areas, ensuring timely completion, quality control, resource optimization, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role focuses on the effective execution of projects to minimize operational disruptions while maintaining the safety and efficiency of airside operations.

Position Accountability Description

Project Management:

  • 1. Engage with stakeholders during business case development to obtain budget approval and necessary project resources.
  • 2. Coordinate daily execution of airside projects, ensuring compliance with project schedules, budget, and quality standards.
  • 3. Ensure project progress monitoring and compliance with project timelines, identifying and mitigating risks as needed.
  • 4. Oversee resource allocation, including contractors and materials, ensuring optimal project execution without disrupting airside operations.
  • 5. Monitor and evaluate contractor performance, ensuring all work meets safety and quality requirements.
  • 6. Ensure compliance with all safety and legal requirements related to project activities, including environmental and security protocols.
  • 7. Coordinate with the engineering team to review project submittals, inspections, and issue work permits as required.
  • 8. Review and process invoices related to project deliverables, ensuring payments are aligned with contractual obligations.

Change Management:

  • 9. Manage changes in project scope, schedule, or cost by implementing mitigation strategies and ensuring alignment with Dammam airports policies.
  • 10. Apply Dammam airports change management procedures for any variation orders, ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • 11. Provide regular project updates and generate reports on progress, issues, and compliance to stakeholders.
  • 12. Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately, including safety, quality, and progress records, archived in the Dammam airports database.
  • 13. Communicate project status to upper management and relevant stakeholders through reports and presentations.
Position Accountability Description

Project Closeout:

  • 14. Ensure project closeout activities are completed, including gathering warranties, performance bonds, and any required documentation.
  • 15. Manage contractual obligations for project closeout, ensuring both Dammam airports and contractors meet all necessary requirements.
  • 16. Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover processes, ensuring all systems and infrastructure are fully operational.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • 17. Lead cross-functional teams, including contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, to ensure smooth collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • 18. Foster collaboration among teams to promote a positive working environment and ensure project objectives are met.
  • 19. Handle disputes effectively, negotiating solutions to avoid project delays.

Stakeholder Management:

  • 20. Engage stakeholders throughout project execution, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are aligned with project goals.
  • 21. Develop communication plans for stakeholders to ensure timely updates and resolution of any issues that may arise.
  • 22. Ensure compliance with internal and external stakeholder requirements, particularly regarding safety, operational integrity, and quality control.

Risk Management:

  • 23. Identify and mitigate project risks, developing strategies to address potential delays, safety hazards, or budget overruns.
  • 24. Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting plans and schedules as necessary to ensure project success.

Team Collaboration and Continuous Learning:

  • 25. Work collaboratively with team members, sharing knowledge and providing support to foster a productive work environment.
  • 26. Pursue continuous learning by attending relevant training and staying updated on best practices in airside maintenance and project management.

Education Background Bachelor’s degree: Engineering or equivalent

Relevent Experience 3 to 4 years of experience in projects management, prefer airport projects management experience
