  • Supervise maintenance projects and coordinate with airport stakeholders on schedule and impacts.
  • Develop cleaning schedules and space plans; maintain inventory and perform preventive maintenance.

Job Purpose

Supervise airport maintenance operations and ensure that all facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained in optimal working condition. This includes coordinating maintenance activities, supervising employees, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and efficiently managing resources.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
  • Monitor the weekly/monthly generator schedule showing the operational status of generators and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
  • Follow up on monthly testing of mechanical systems, including water treatment systems, sewage systems, conveyor belts, elevators, escalators, fire-fighting systems, and gas detection systems.
  • Be prepared to respond to power outages, main water supply interruptions, and potential maintenance-related disruptions affecting air transport operations.
  • Review and ensure the availability of specialized tools and testing equipment required for the maintenance of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with procedures, guidelines, and approved standards.
  • Supervise and follow up on the implementation of work related to airport facility maintenance.
  • Develop cleaning schedules specifying the frequency and timing of cleaning activities across different areas of the facility.
  • Develop detailed cleaning plans specifying the required tasks for each area.
  • Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, equipment, and consumable materials.
  • Implement preventive maintenance measures to ensure cleaning equipment remains in optimal working condition.
  • Prepare monthly review reports regarding the supply of non-recoverable and consumable items to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance requirements are met, and inspect newly installed systems.
  • Conduct inspection visits to airport maintenance warehouses to assess spare-parts storage conditions and maintain quality and performance, particularly for spare parts related to critical systems.
  • Monitor and supervise the inventory of recoverable spare parts owned by Second Airports Cluster Company.
  • Determine the need for work permits based on planned or emergency corrective maintenance, repair, renovation, or construction activities within airport facilities.
  • Collect all required documents and information for issuing work permits in coordination with contractors, including drawings, catalogs, and other relevant documents.
  • Submit work permit requests to the relevant airport departments.
  • Coordinate with airport employees, security personnel, air traffic control, and other stakeholders regarding scheduled work and its potential operational impacts.
  • Monitor and manage heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), lighting, and other energy-consuming equipment through the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Develop accurate spatial data, including floor plans, layouts, and site maps, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Design, update, and improve spaces; monitor occupancy; and plan space modifications and reconfigurations.
  • Provide relevant information to departments as needed, such as maintenance-related information required for upgrade projects.
Administrative Responsibilities
Employee Development
  • Supervise the development of direct reports, set their objectives, identify their training needs, and evaluate training outcomes.
  • Guide supervised employees to ensure assigned tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and develop maintenance employees to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
Policies, Procedures, and Reports
  • Ensure the implementation of policies and procedures related to cargo development activities and operations.
  • Assist in preparing concise reports for the Airport Manager upon request to support airport improvement initiatives.
  • Hold regular meetings with direct reports to monitor work progress, discuss challenges, review their suggestions, and take appropriate action.
