Job summary

Alstom in Riyadh is seeking an experienced track design engineer to contribute to the Riyadh Metro Line 2 Extension. You will develop track alignments, design slab track elements, and review third rail systems while coordinating interfaces across Civil, Traction Power, Signaling, and Systems Integration.

The role emphasizes design reviews, technical problem solving, and construction support on a major urban railway project.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or Railway Engineering.
Experience or understanding of metro or railway track design.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bentley OpenRail/OpenTrack, MicroStation.
Familiarity with EN/IEC railway standards.
Ability to coordinate interfaces across civil and traction disciplines.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Develop track alignment layouts and track geometry.
Design slab track systems for at-grade, elevated and underground sections.
Verify track clearances, dynamic envelopes, and maintenance access.
Design and review 750V DC third rail systems and conductor rail layouts.
Review civil interfaces affecting track installation and tolerances.
Coordinate third rail components and fastenings with teams.
Manage interfaces with Civil, Traction Power, Signaling, Rolling Stock, and Systems Integration.
Participate in design reviews with clients and authorities.
Provide technical support during construction, inspections, testing and commissioning.
