Job summary

Sanofi Device Innovation Challenge invites a Medical Scientific Liaison to join the Riyadh team, focusing on Autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes. You will build trusted partnerships with healthcare professionals and institutions, sharing scientific information and leading local medical education activities.

Engagement planning, stakeholder needs assessment, and cross-functional collaboration across Medical, RWE, Pharmacovigilance, and Market Access teams are key.

Qualifications

• Proven stakeholder engagement and strategic planning in a medical/scientific field.
• Experience in AT1D or diabetes/immunology is a plus.
• Strong scientific communication and multi-channel engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and institutions to share AT1D scientific information.
• Plan and facilitate local scientific meetings, hospital staff meetings, webinars, and education activities.
• Develop stakeholder engagement plans aligned with AT1D Medical Plan.
• Generate insights on unmet needs and treatment barriers; propose solutions.
• Respond to information requests and support IIR submissions and advisory boards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, RWE, HEVA, PV, Medical Information, Market Access, and Commercial teams.
• Maintain CRM records of customer engagements for reporting.

Main Responsibilities

• Engage proactively with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and institutions to share balanced, high-quality scientific information on AT1D, including disease staging, screening, diagnosis, and disease-modifying treatment approaches.
• Plan and facilitate local scientific meetings, hospital staff meetings, webinars, and other medical education activities in line with the Country Medical Plan and Stakeholder Engagement Plan.
• Develop and execute individual stakeholder engagement plans aligned with identified scientific needs and the AT1D Medical Plan.
• Generate high-value, actionable insights on unmet medical needs, patient identification, treatment barriers, and evidence gaps – and propose appropriate solutions.
• Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information and support investigators in Independent Investigator Research (IIR) submissions and local advisory board activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, RWE, HEVA, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Information, Market Access, and Commercial teams, ensuring full compliance with company, industry, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of customer engagements through CRM tools to support reporting and insight generation.

About You

• Education: MD, Pharmacy degree, or postgraduate-level science qualification.
• Experience: Proven background in stakeholder engagement and strategic planning within a medical or scientific field; experience in the AT1D or broader diabetes/immunology therapeutic area is a plus.
• Technical skills: Strong scientific communication skills; familiarity with CRM tools; ability to leverage multiple channels and formats to maximize stakeholder impact.
• Soft skills: Strategic thinking, business acumen, learning agility, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset across functions and teams.
• Languages: Arabic (required); advanced spoken and written English (required).
