Job summary

Durucooperation seeks an experienced Mechanical Inspector – Tanks to perform inspection and quality control for tank fabrication. You will verify drawings, materials, welding, fit-up, and testing against project specs and ISO 9001 requirements.

You will conduct vendor inspections across manufacturing stages, review inspection records, and coordinate with QA/QC teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliant final documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field.
• Minimum 6 years of inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
• Ability to perform inspections with minimal supervision.
• QM-34 – Tanks: QM-03 qualified with QM-30, or interview completion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vendor inspections of tanks across manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and testing stages.
• Verify materials, dimensions, welding, fabrication, fit-up, workmanship and testing against approved drawings and specifications.
• Review engineering drawings, inspection procedures, ITPs, specifications and standards.
• Verify compliance with API 650, API 653, ASME Section IX, and SSPC requirements.
• Perform inspections independently with minimal supervision and document findings.
• Identify, report and follow up on quality deviations and non-conformities.
• Review inspection and test records and ensure quality documentation is complete.
• Coordinate with vendors, QA/QC teams and project stakeholders to resolve inspection issues.
• Prepare inspection reports and support final quality documentation and acceptance activities.

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 6 years of inspection experience in manufacturing plants, including at least 2 years in the relevant commodity/process.
• Good command of English.
• Knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and fabrication methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
• Ability to perform inspections with minimal supervision.
• Must meet additional requirements applicable to the specific inspection discipline.
• QM-34 – Tanks: QM-03 qualified with QM-30, or successful completion of the required interview.
