Job summary

Broad Development Contracting Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineering professional to supervise daily steel erection, fabrication and installation activities at site locations across Saudi Arabia.

You will coordinate with project managers, QC engineers and subcontractors, ensure work aligns with drawings and specs, and maintain safety and progress reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities related to steel structure erection, fabrication, installation.
• Ensure work follows approved shop drawings, drawings and project specs.
• Coordinate with project managers, QC engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of activities.
• Check site dimensions, levels, alignment, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate steel structures erection, PEB buildings, canopies, handrails, stairs and related works.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements and inspection procedures.
• Monitor safety practices and PPE usage on site.
• Prepare daily progress reports, site records and material requirements.
• Identify site issues and coordinate solutions with Project Manager.
• Attend site meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities related to steel structure erection, fabrication, installation, and related works.
• Ensure all work is carried out according to approved shop drawings, construction drawings, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, QC engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
• Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
• Check site dimensions, levels, alignment, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate steel structure erection, PEB buildings, canopies, parking shades, handrails, staircases, and other steel fabrication works.
• Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, approved method statements, and inspection procedures.
• Monitor site safety practices and ensure workers follow HSE requirements and use appropriate PPE.
• Prepare daily progress reports, site records, material requirements, and work completion reports.
• Identify site issues, coordinate solutions, and report delays or technical concerns to the Project Manager.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma/ Bachelor degree Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant site engineering experience, preferably in steel fabrication and erection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of steel structures, PEB buildings, welding, bolting, and erection procedures.
• Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with construction safety and quality requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is an advantage.
• Ability to work at project sites across Saudi Arabia.
