Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions seeks a Senior Mechanical Packages Engineer for a major petrochemical client in Saudi Arabia. The role leads mechanical package engineering across PDP and FEED, delivering design deliverables and coordinating with vendors and clients.

You will ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, NFPA and other international standards. You will review designs, support procurement, and mentor junior engineers while shaping mechanical package standards and project planning in large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 15+ years in petrochemical/oil & gas including FEED/EPC.
• Experience across PDP/FEED and pre-tender engineering in greenfield/brownfield projects.
• Familiar with API, ASME, ISO, NFPA, IEC, HCIS, RCER codes and standards.

Our client is a major petrochemical operation known for producing high‑quality chemicals, plastics, and industrial materials used around the world. It operates large, integrated plants and plays a vital role in supplying key sectors like manufacturing, construction, and consumer products.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical package engineering activities across PDP and FEED stages, including design development, proposal preparation, and delivery of engineering deliverables for major projects.
• Review and approve mechanical package designs, specifications, and engineering outputs, ensuring compliance with international codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support across project phases, including resolving design and operational issues, engaging with vendors/clients, and supporting procurement activities.
• Develop, maintain, and govern mechanical package standards while mentoring junior engineers and supporting project planning, scheduling, and performance tracking.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 15 years’ experience in petrochemical, refining, oil & gas, or related industries, including significant FEED/EPC exposure.
• Extensive experience across full project lifecycle for greenfield and brownfield projects, including mechanical package design in PDP/FEED and pre‑tender engineering.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and regulations (API, ASME, ISO, PIP, NFPA, IEC, HCIS, RCER) with the ability to interpret specifications and evaluate technical deviations.
• Proven expertise in engineering tools (e.g., PV Elite, COMPRESS), mechanical package deliverables, vendor coordination, and technical problem‑solving within complex project environments.
