As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer for Industrial Steam Turbines, you will be at the forefront of meaningful projects, working on complex tasks related to steam turbine equipment installation and service. Your expertise will directly impact Siemens Energy’s mission by ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our turbines, thereby enhancing client satisfaction and strengthening partnerships. How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Execute specialized tasks on steam turbine equipment during installations and service, ensuring adherence to Siemens work procedures.
  • Develop and implement detailed outage plans, supervising and executing outages at steam turbine sites.
  • Conduct assessments of equipment conditions, applying repair or improvement measures based on Siemens standards.
  • Interface with customer personnel, providing quality service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution.
  • Complete documentation for all installations, inspections, maintenance, repair work, and failures.
  • Participate in responding to semi-complex service calls, contributing to the resolution of technical challenges.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • 1 to 3 years of on-site experience, with a preference for knowledge in rotating equipment and steam turbine processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens or Dresser Rand Steam Turbines, ESV systems, Gimple Valves, gearboxes, and mechanical governor systems.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a multinational and multicultural environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of the MS Office suite, enhancing your ability to manage documentation and communication effectively.
