Job summary

Dar is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to supervise mechanical works across infrastructure projects. The role involves reviewing designs and shop drawings, monitoring site execution, and ensuring safety and performance of systems.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 5–7 years of relevant experience, including projects in roads, bridges, and tunnels. Strong knowledge of ASHRAE/SMACNA standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in mechanical engineering projects
• Experience reviewing mechanical designs and shop drawings
• Experience on roads, bridges and tunnels projects preferred
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, utilities and relevant standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving, communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Review and provide feedback on mechanical design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals
• Supervise installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems (pumping stations, utilities, HVAC, pipelines)
• Monitor site execution to ensure adherence to construction sequences and safety requirements
• Conduct inspections, witness pressure tests and verify compliance with specs
• Review technical correspondence, RFIs and contractor submissions with professional input
• Coordinate with design and construction teams to resolve technical challenges
• Ensure mechanical works meet required standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance
