Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mason or similar role.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow design plans.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or drawings to determine the materials and tools needed for each project.
• Measure and cut materials according to specifications.
• Lay out patterns or foundations for walls, using chalk lines or other tools.
• Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using trowels or other hand tools.
• Set stone or brick in place according to the approved design.
• Repair existing structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones.
• Use hand and power tools such as hammers, chisels, saws, and drills to shape materials.
• Ensure that all work is completed accurately and up to code.
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment after each project.
