Job summary

International Maritime Industries is seeking a Marine Operations Planner to optimize the use of marine assets and manpower. You will plan, schedule, and record all marine activities using data from BD business plans and production zones, ensuring efficient operations.

You will coordinate with stakeholders, maintain dashboards, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while working within a 5S framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine operations planning and scheduling.
• Strong data gathering, validation and coordination with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of 5S methodology and safety standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update a Marine Operations dashboard and share weekly with management.
• Maintain logs of marine movements and weather data for the dashboard.
• Contribute to review and update of Marine Operation procedures and documents.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental standards.
• Work within 5S to maintain high workplace standards.

JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE:

Responsible to ensure efficient use of the Marine assets and manpower by planning, scheduling, and recording all IMI marine activities based on data received from BD business plan, and different productions zones.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather and validate vessel movement, project milestone, and marine asset requirement data.
• Maintain accurate and current marine operations and scheduling records.
• Prepare marine asset allocation and utilization schedules to support operational and project requirements.
• Participate in daily coordination meetings to align marine asset and manpower deployment.
• Mitigate scheduling conflicts and marine traffic risks to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Prepare and update a Marine Operations comprehensive dashboard.
• Share said dashboard on a weekly basis to the different parties concerned and whenever needed IMI Senior management.
• Share a drawing showing the exact position of the different vessels and rigs within the yard.
• Keep up-to-date logs of marine movements, weather conditions, and any other data needed to issue the dashboard.
• Contribute to the review, update and implementation of Marine Operation procedures, processes, check lists and other operational documents.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, regulations, quality, security, environmental, and safety standards and regulations related to his job.
• Work within 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain workplace to a high standard.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or equivalent.
• At least 9 -12 years of relevant experience in marine field.
• Having extensive experience managing and planning Port’s or shipyard’s Marine assets.
