Job summary

A leading company in the marine sector is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across offshore operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of offshore HSE experience, valid Saudi Aramco Marine Safety Officer approval, and strong knowledge of safety standards and regulations. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, delivering training, and promoting a safety-first culture. This is a key role in a high-risk environment located in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years offshore HSE experience, preferably in oil & gas / marine operations.
  • Valid Saudi Aramco approval as Marine Safety Officer.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco Marine Safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct HSE inspections and audits on offshore vessels and shore facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with marine, offshore, and Saudi Aramco safety requirements.
  • Deliver HSE training and safety briefings.

Job description

ZMI Holdings is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to support Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across offshore and marine operations. This role is essential in ensuring safe operations, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety culture within high-risk environments.

Key Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years offshore HSE experience, preferably in oil & gas / marine operations
  • Valid Saudi Aramco approval as Marine Safety Officer
  • Proven offshore marine experience on Jack-up Barges and OSVs
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco Marine Safety standards, PTW systems, SIMOPS, and HSE compliance
  • Solid knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, API, and IOGP standards
  • NEBOSH IGC required (IOSH / CSP / CHMM is an advantage)
  • Experience in incident investigation & RCA (Taproot preferred)
  • Experience delivering HSE training (onshore & offshore)
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 safety management systems
  • Strong communication, reporting, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Engineering or safety-related degree is an advantage
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct HSE inspections and audits on offshore vessels and shore facilities
  • Ensure compliance with marine, offshore, and Saudi Aramco safety requirements
  • Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
  • Perform risk assessments, JSAs, SIMOPS reviews, and permit-to-work controls
  • Participate in incident investigations and track closure of corrective actions
  • Coordinate with Vessel Captains, Contractors, and Saudi Aramco Marine teams
  • Support emergency response preparedness and continuous safety improvement
  • Promote and maintain a proactive safety-first culture
