Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist based in Riyadh to lead the local supply chain development and ramp‑up of steel processes. You will report to the Factory General Manager and collaborate with product, engineering, and supplier teams to ensure on‑time, cost‑effective launches.

You will drive qualification, process development, tooling readiness, and supplier relationships, balancing quality, cost, and sustainability while navigating Saudi regulations.

Qualifications

  • Advanced negotiation skills and experience with stakeholders.
  • Experience with Saudi steel manufacturers and manufacturing processes/regulations.
  • Experience with CM or OEM manufacturing including working with factories on process development, DFM, tooling readiness, and launches.
  • Experience in stamping, drilling, laser cutting, tube bending, or welding (two or more).
  • Strong structuring and analytical skills to manage multiple projects and vendors internationally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to report and present strategies at executive level.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, readiness to work with remote teams.
  • Results-oriented with ability to navigate ambiguity and travel regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical qualification efforts to support product launches.
  • Support product development with prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Balance quality, customer satisfaction, cost, and sustainability.
  • Coordinate with product, engineering, quality, and vendors to plan tasks and costs.
  • Identify problems and implement improvements with business impact.
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives for suppliers.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities to deliver projects on time.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Host project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings and business development opportunities as needed.
  • Advocate for the internal customer and track supplier execution.
  • Visit suppliers regularly to monitor performance.

The Manufacturing Engineering Specialist will be based in Riyadh in Nextpower office. In this position, you will report to the Factory General Manager. Nextpower is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist in Saudi Arabia to develop and manage its local supply chain as local supply becomes more strategic. The Manufacturing Engineering department is responsible for driving the industrialization, ramp‑up and continuous improvement of the steel processes and supplier network through deploying category/region/supplier‑specific strategies and establishing strategic relationships with core suppliers. He/She will also be responsible to ensure correct execution of all the activities related to define, develop and launch a new or improved product or supplier. Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…
  • Lead technical qualification efforts to support product launches.
  • Support product development using the overall prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and successful criteria for product qualification and ramp.
  • Focus will balance quality, customer satisfaction, cost, and sustainability.
  • Coordinate product management, engineering, quality, project engineering, applications engineering and vendors to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
  • Identify, and analyze problems, taking the initiative to implement improvements identified with a recognized business benefit.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives for assigned suppliers.
  • Coordinate the day‑to‑day activities required to deliver all projects and deliverables on time.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues; own root‑cause analysis and corrective actions, documenting results.
  • Host recurring project meetings and deliver status updates to all stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in meetings and business development opportunities as needed.
  • Internal customer voice; an advocate for the customer.
  • Visit frequently suppliers and keep track of execution performance.

  • Advanced Negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Saudi steel manufacturers and manufacturing process and regulations.
  • Experience in CM or OEM manufacturing including two years working regularly with one or more factories on process development, DFM, tooling readiness, and product launches.
  • Experience in at least two of the following processes: stamping, drilling, laser cutting, tube bending, or welding.
  • Solid structuring and analytical skills to keep track of multiple projects and vendors, in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to report and present a strategy at executive level.
  • Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) Fluent oral and written communications at least in English and Arabic.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills as a significant part of the team and suppliers are remote.
  • Results orientated and demonstrated ability to think out of the box to drive results.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and respond quickly and flexibly.
  • Autonomous Availability to travel on a regular basis.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (or higher).
  • 8–10years’ experience in heavy‑steel fabrication with proven ownership of equipment installation and volume ramp‑up.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
