Job summary

HCP Automotive in Jeddah seeks a Managing Director, Automotive Retail to lead a Riyadh-based dealership with national operations. You will own full P&L, capex decisions, stocking policy, and the annual operating plan, while overseeing a complete retail cycle across new, used, parts, service and F&I.

The role demands strong leadership, a track record of profitable P&L management, and deep knowledge of the Saudi market.

Qualifications

Managing Director, Automotive Retail

Full‑time, located in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Salary: SAR 70,000 to 80,000 per month, plus bonus and benefits.

You will hold full profit and loss responsibility for a Riyadh‑based dealership with operations across the country and ambitious plans to retail in excess of 7,000 new units a year. The business is established, and the requirement is a step change in operating discipline: tightening gross per unit, lifting aftersales absorption, and building a management layer capable of running the business without daily intervention from the top. The Saudi market is consolidating quickly, and the shareholder intends this operation to be among the two or three that matter in the capital.

What you will do

• Own the full P&L, including capital expenditure, stocking policy and the annual operating plan agreed with the board.
• Run the complete retail cycle across new, used, parts, service and F&I, with departmental heads reporting to you.
• Hold the relationship and further develop with the brand principal, covering volume commitments, margin programmes and standards audits.
• Build and develop the management team, with succession identified for every direct report.
• Within your first three months, you will present and begin executing a three‑year operating plan the board has approved.

What you will bring

• Current responsibility for a multi‑site passenger car dealership operation of comparable scale, at General Manager level or above, held within the region.
• Demonstrable ownership of a P&L, evidenced by what you changed and what it delivered.
• Command of both volume and premium retail economics, and the judgement to know they are different businesses.
• Arabic language capability. Where a candidate does not speak Arabic, we will consider substantial current experience operating in the Gulf.
• A career showing depth rather than movement. We are looking for roles held for years, not months, and we will ask about every transition.
• Useful, though not essential: exposure to multi‑franchise groups, experience of a brand principal relationship under standards pressure, and familiarity with the Saudi regulatory environment as it stands today.

Where you will do it

You will report to the automotive board, and you will have the autonomy that comes with genuine P&L ownership and the scrutiny that accompanies it. The honest constraint is this: the management layer beneath you is not yet at the standard the business needs, and building it is part of the job rather than a distraction from it.

What you will receive

Base salary of SAR 70,000 to 80,000 per month, depending on the operation you are coming from. Annual bonus of four to six months' salary against agreed targets. Housing allowance, company car, annual air ticket for you and your family, and a contribution towards school fees.
