An organizing committee in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Technology Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of core technology services during Games-time. Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee Technical Support operations across all venues.
  • Manage Cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, incident response, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead Telecoms & Infrastructure operations, ensuring resilient connectivity and system redundancy.
  • Ensure 24/7 operational coverage during Games-time and compliance with vendor SLAs.
  • Act as the central coordination point between Venue Technology, TSR, and GMS/HDS during Games-time.
  • Establish, operate, and manage the IT Command Centre (ITCC).
  • Oversee incident management processes across all technology domains.
  • Support workforce planning to ensure sufficient operational coverage.

Job Purpose

The Technology Operations Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the operational delivery of core technology services during the pre‑Games and Games‑time phases.

Technology Operations Leadership
  • Lead and oversee Technical Support operations across all venues.
  • Manage Cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, incident response, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead Telecoms & Infrastructure operations, ensuring resilient connectivity and system redundancy.
  • Ensure 24/7 operational coverage during Games‑time and compliance with vendor SLAs.
Cross‑Domain Coordination
  • Act as the central coordination point between Venue Technology, TSR, and GMS/HDS during Games‑time.
  • Ensure effective cross‑domain communication, operational alignment, and escalation management.
IT Command Centre & Incident Management
  • Establish, operate, and manage the IT Command Centre (ITCC).
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for all major technology incidents and service disruptions.
Incident Management & Escalation
  • Oversee incident management processes across all technology domains.
  • Ensure timely escalation, resolution, and clear communication with all stakeholders.
Workforce & Operational Readiness
  • Support workforce planning to ensure sufficient operational coverage across all technology functions.
  • Coordinate readiness activities, simulations, and operational briefings for Games‑time operations.
Reporting & Governance
  • Produce daily operational status reports during Games‑time.
  • Contribute to post‑Games reporting, including lessons learned and operational documentation.
