Job summary

Cipher7 Business Consulting & Digital Solutions is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations in aviation-related environments. You will manage preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and overhauls of diverse ground support equipment to keep aircraft on schedule.

The role requires seven to ten years of hands-on GSE maintenance leadership, with a diploma or high school background, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Diploma with 7 years of work experience or High School with 10 years.
• Proven Ground Support Equipment supervisory experience in aviation.
• Driver's license (light vehicle) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance on GSE per manufacturer guidelines.
• Oversee repair, troubleshooting, and overhaul of GSE.
• Coordinate with suppliers to lease/install equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate work orders, parts used, and labor hours.
• Prepare budgets and expenditures for GSE maintenance.
• Lead workshops, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Keep workshop organized and tools inventoried.
• Communicate with team and customers to support operations.
• Track equipment records and maintenance history.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs for controlled processes.

Ground Support Equipment ( GSE) Supervisor

Job Purpose and Description:

The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the GSE maintenance operations, including but not limited to the preventive maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and overhaul of various ground support equipment used in the Avia on MRO industry.

Key Job accountabilities:

• 1. Accountable for planning and execu on of preven ve maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, including but not limited to various Aircra Engine transport stands /APU Transport stands, Shop tools, Pallet jacks, Forkli s, Pallet stackers, and Tow Tractors/Tugs per manufacturer guidelines and industry standards (Engine types: GE90, T700, GEnx-1B/2B, Leap-1A/1B, CFM56-5B/2 A; APU types: GTCP331-350C, GTCP331-500, GTCP131-9A/9B, PW901C, APS3200, APS5000)
• 2. Based on available equipment records, develop a long-term plan for continuous preventative maintenance by planning the required materials, including regular replacement consumables, shock mounts, and fallout parts.
• 3. A end regular mee ngs with the product on work centre and customers to support operational needs.
• 4. Engage with the supplier to lease GSE equipment as needed to support operations.
• 5. Distributes preven ve maintenance schedules and repair work orders and monitors meliness and completion quality.
• 6. Prepare the necessary budget and expenditures for all GSE maintenance activities.
• 7. Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to prioritze dues under pressure and promptly complete the workshop job to minimize equipment downtime
• 8. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts used, and hours spent on each task.
• 9. Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring all tools, equipment, and parts are stored and readily accessible and inventoried regularl y.
• 10. Communicate effec vely with team members and external vendors to coordinate repairs, procure parts, and resolve technical issues.
• 11. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements for ground support equipment maintenance and repair.
• 12. Follow all relevant processes and standard operatng procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Education & Experience:

Diploma with work experience of 7 years or High School with work experience of 10 years

Proven experience as a Ground Support Equipment Supervisor, preferably in the aviaton industry.

License:

Preference would be given to candidates having a Valid driver's license (light vehicle/forkli )
