Job summary

VHR Global Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Avionics Manager to lead avionics maintenance operations in a large aircraft MRO environment in Riyadh. You will manage avionics teams, oversee base and heavy maintenance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence across Boeing and/or Airbus programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Avionics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of avionics maintenance experience in an airline or MRO environment.
• 3–5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Proven experience managing base maintenance and heavy maintenance operations.
• Hands-on experience with Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft platforms.
• Thorough knowledge of EASA, FAA, GCAA, or equivalent aviation regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop avionics supervisors, certifying staff, and technicians.
• Manage manpower planning and resource allocation for base and heavy maintenance inputs.
• Oversee troubleshooting, repair, modification, and installation of avionics systems.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with approved data, company procedures, and aviation regulations.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams.
• Support audits, corrective actions, SMS requirements, and release-to-service processes.
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, and maintenance performance while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support AOG recovery activities as required.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• EASA Part-66 B2 Licence or equivalent.
• Human Factors, EWIS, and Fuel Tank Safety certifications.
• Experience within a large, high-volume MRO facility.
