Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy mining equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy mining equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot complex hydraulic systems and problems.
• Troubleshoot complex low voltage electrical systems and problems.
• Troubleshoot power train (engine, transmission, final drives) problems.
• Work with hoisting and jacking equipment, power tools, measuring instruments, gauges and meters.
• Lubricate equipment.
• Perform inspections on completed jobs; ensure conformance with policies and safety codes.
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance and repair activities in logs and incident reports.
• Maintain effective communication with supervisors and customers.
• Duties may expand as business demands; works under direct and indirect supervision.
