Reporting to the Head of Process Engineering, this role is accountable for ensuring manufacturable methods, dimensional compliance, and continuous productivity improvement across the machining function.

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Company is seeking an experienced Machining Technical Manager to lead machining engineering and programming activities within the Process Engineering Division. Reporting to the Head of Process Engineering, this role is accountable for ensuring manufacturable methods, dimensional compliance, and continuous productivity improvement across the machining function.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations
- Manage and supervise the Machining Process Engineer, NC Programmer, and machining technical support team.
- Approve machining routing strategies, major programming standards, and technical changes.
- Lead resolution of complex machining and dimensional issues.
- Support technical review of RFQs and new product feasibility assessments.
- Attend regular meetings with production teams, job managers, and engineers to communicate Work Instructions (WI) and Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS).
- Coordinate across production, QA, tooling, maintenance, and supply chain functions.
- Support the development and implementation of plans for first article product production.
- Drive cycle-time reduction, tooling optimization, and process standardization.
- Develop the technical skill base within the machining engineering team.
- Troubleshoot and drive continuous improvement of machining processes.
Quality
- Define product quality standards throughout the machining process.
- Prepare necessary EHS requirements for the Machining Shop.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to address quality-related issues and implement corrective measures.
- Analyse quality problems and establish countermeasures.
- Support the establishment of the factory organizational structure.
- Support the acquisition of required certifications and qualifications.
Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyse data and performance metrics to optimize machining parameters and maximize efficiency.
- Implement new techniques, technologies, or equipment upgrades to improve machining processes.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of machining operations, including process parameters, production data, and quality test results.
- Provide regular updates and analysis to management on process improvements and operational issues.
- Provide technical support for product documentation creation and review produced documentation.
- Review qualification and certification development results for special process operators, NDT personnel, and quality inspection personnel, and provide feedback as required.
Sales Technical Support
- Support the review of manufacturing feasibility for items targeted for sales estimation.
- Assist in reviewing and designing production processes for quoted products to meet customer technical requirements.
- Participate in technical meetings with engineers when technical support is requested by the sales team.
- Fulfil any other responsibilities as required by the company.

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in CNC machining processes within a similar manufacturing environment, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial or technical leadership role.
- Strong understanding of horizontal and vertical CNC lathe operations, milling, and CNC machining principles.
- Demonstrated experience in large-part machining at 20 tons and above.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and CAM software, including CAMWORKS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.
- Awareness of American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and their application to the machining of casting and forging components is advantageous.
