Job Purpose

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.

The jobholder will ensure the availability of the Test & Validation (T&V) facility to the T&V team by keeping the maintenance and calibration of T&V rig and associated support equipment current.

Job Accountabilities
  • Assist the RSAF to set up, operate and maintain the Typhoon EWOS capability
  • Train RSAF staff in all aspects of Typhoon Rig Maintenance
  • Work under the direction of the Production Supervisor
  • Provide On the Job Training (OJT) to Saudi National colleagues
  • HWIL and rig support equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Rig test equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures
  • Managing all operational and technical aspects of the RSAF Test & Validation (T&V) Rig Supervisor
Recruitment Specification
  • Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent with Chartered status (desirable)
  • Extensive experience in Typhoon Rig Maintenance
  • Experience and knowledge of the Engineering Lifecycle (ELC) process
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications with Windows and Internet search
  • Qualified Trainer (desirable, but if not, training will be provided)
  • Proficient in English language
  • Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
  • Strong understanding of Company governance process
  • Very good overall and broad engineering expertise, familiar with the whole engineering lifecycle.
  • Ability to deal with complex engineering issues.
  • Ability to drive innovative approaches to diverse operational, technical and business issues as required.
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external Customer relationships.
