Job summary

Pengate Handling Systems is seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to support daily operations across our branch network. You will coordinate inbound/outbound transportation, schedule deliveries, and maintain service quality for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include monitoring shipments, communicating status, and ensuring DOT compliance while seeking cost-efficient solutions. A results-driven team player with strong communication excels here.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of logistics coordination experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating deliveries or freight movement in a service environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience with transportation carriers, route planning or fleet operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation across all Pengate branch locations.
• Schedule equipment deliveries, pickups, transfers, and customer shipments to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor shipments from dispatch to final delivery with proactive updates.
• Coordinate daily transportation schedules with company drivers and third-party carriers.
• Source competitive freight rates for outside transportation.
• Collaborate with Service, Sales, Parts, Operations, and branches to prioritize needs.
• Prepare shipping documents including bills of lading and permits.
• Ensure DOT regulations and safety standards are followed.
• Resolve transportation issues promptly and professionally.
• Track transportation metrics and maintain records and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and reduce costs.
• Build strong cross-department partnerships and deliver outstanding service.
