Library Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our library team as a Library Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the library, including shelving and organizing books, helping patrons find materials, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the space. This position is open to Indian nationals who are fluent in English and have no prior library experience.

As a Library Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our library runs smoothly and efficiently. Your main responsibilities will include shelving books according to the designated system, helping patrons find materials they need, and checking books in and out using our library software. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the library space, including dusting shelves and cleaning tables. Additionally, you may be asked to assist with special projects or events as needed.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with books. While no prior experience is necessary, preference will be given to candidates who have some knowledge of library systems and procedures. As this position involves interacting with patrons on a daily basis, excellent customer service skills are also necessary.
