Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Associate in the Legal Entity Control team to oversee monthly accounting and control for the legal entity, ensuring accuracy and regulatory readiness.

You'll interact with line-of-business finance teams, operations, and the Legal Entity Controller community to drive the entity's agenda. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field.
• 3+ years finance/accounting experience.
• Strong accounting and analytical acumen with ability to explain income statement and balance sheet variances.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication with ability to prepare executive presentations.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Legal Entity accounting & control monthly, including month-end close, parent/child accounting, equity pickup, inter-entity break review.
• Prepare Monthly Controller’s Book and regulatory reporting commentary.
• Investigate issues and respond to ad-hoc queries.
• Assist in Booking Model review and ongoing Legal Entity Control compliance.
• Control intercompany activity and provide variance commentary.
• Monitor the general ledger, consolidation and netting.
• Participate in firmwide legal entity reporting projects and process improvements.
