Job summary

Saudi Chevron Phillips Company (S-Chem) in Jubail seeks a Commercial Legal Counsel to provide sound legal services and advice to S-Chem and related entities, ensuring compliance with the legal framework governing operations.

You will draft and negotiate contracts, review agreements, support regulatory compliance, and coordinate with external counsel to mitigate risk, protect business interests, and manage routine and complex cross-border transactions in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law required.
• Total 4-5 years of experience including training.
• Licensed to practice in Saudi Arabia or an equivalent qualification.
• Exposure to English-language international agreements and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal advice on contracts and agreements related to routine operations.
• Supports negotiations and communications with counterparties to mitigate liability.
• Assists the General Counsel with compliance requirements for S-Chem and staff.
• Drafts and revises legal/commercial documents and official correspondences.
• Supports external market research in legal contexts (regulatory, tax, insurance, etc.).
• Evaluates litigation or disputes and liaises with external counsel as needed.
• Maintains confidential legal/commercial documentation according to SOPs.
• Performs other tasks directed by General Counsel.
