Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced Power Supply Engineer in Saudi Arabia to support traction power systems for major railway and metro projects in Riyadh. You will lead technical design, site investigations, and integration of AC/DC traction power systems, substations, and distribution networks to meet safety and performance standards.

You should bring a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years in traction power supply engineering, with strong English communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of Traction Power Supply System Engineering experience.
• Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Experience with HV/LV railway power systems (AC/DC traction, substations, transformers, switchgear).
• Familiarity with railway power system standards, SCADA/PLC protection, and stray current mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Traction Power Supply System construction activities and ensure compliance with project requirements, drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Prepare power system studies and support design, testing, commissioning, and integration of AC and DC electrified railway power systems.
• Perform site investigations, technical analyses, troubleshooting, design reviews, and develop engineering documentation including design packages, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.
• Define interfaces between power systems and other infrastructure systems while coordinating with stakeholders, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support the development, testing, evaluation, and optimization of substations, power distribution systems, protection systems, and power conversion equipment.
