Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an Associate in the Building Structures team to take overall responsibility for leading and managing the structural engineering discipline within major projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, drive technical excellence, and ensure successful delivery of complex building projects.

This role involves strategic oversight, team leadership, and active participation in business development to support the growth of the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Structural or Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 18+ years of structural engineering experience with leadership on large-scale projects.
• Proven track record delivering multidisciplinary structures and leading diverse teams.
• Expertise in steel and concrete design and advanced structural analysis.
• Strong knowledge of UAE, KSA, and international design codes.
• Experience contributing to strategic growth and business development.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for structural engineering teams across multiple projects.
• Serve as primary client interface for structural matters and ensure client satisfaction.
• Oversee development and delivery of structural designs for large-scale projects.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specifications for quality and compliance.
• Drive design innovation, digital tools, and sustainability initiatives.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources for timely delivery.
• Mentor senior engineers and BIM teams to foster technical excellence.
• Lead risk management and QA processes, including audits and compliance.
• Represent the company in high-level meetings and industry forums.
• Support business development with proposals and client presentations.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
