Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior structural engineering leader in Riyadh to spearhead the structural function across major building projects, delivering strategic technical oversight, safe design, and on-time delivery. You will mentor engineers, manage client relationships, and drive profitable project performance.

With 20+ years in structural engineering and a track record in reinforced concrete and steel, you will shape proposals, lead multidisciplinary teams, and advance digital and sustainable design

Qualifications

• 20+ years of structural engineering experience with leadership of major building projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel design.
• Experience delivering high-value developments in consultancy environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering function across large-scale building projects.
• Provide strategic technical oversight ensuring design quality, safety, and delivery.
• Act as a senior client advisor, building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Grow strategic client accounts and pursue repeat business.
• Support business development, including client engagement and market positioning.
• Lead technical proposals, bids, and client presentations for major pursuits.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive growth in the Buildings sector.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and profitability.
• Drive innovation in structural design, digital engineering and sustainable solutions.
• Mentor senior engineers and project leaders to foster collaboration.
• Represent the organization at client meetings and industry events.

• Ensure compliance with all HSE requirements, quality assurance processes, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain governance over risk management, contractual obligations, and project controls.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional accreditation is highly desirable.
• 20+ years of experience in structural engineering, including leadership of major building projects.
• Proven track record delivering high-value, complex developments within consultancy environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large project portfolios.
• Strong expertise in reinforced concrete, steel design, and advanced structural analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE, KSA, and international design standards and codes.
• Demonstrated success in developing client relationships and securing new business opportunities.
• Experience leading bids, proposals, framework agreements, and major project pursuits.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage project profitability and business performance.
